The Phantoms came out to play this evening and had their best game yet! There’s still a lot of room for improvement even if we had good pitching and made some good plays on the field.
BJ was our bat boy this evening and he did a great job! He took his job seriously and was out there ready to get the bat after every play. When the Phantoms were on defense, he go play with his friends Tygan and Cole. But he was back at the top of every inning. Go Brandon!
Christian went 2 for 3 this game. He hit a line drive right to the pitcher in the 1st, a soft hit to the left side for an RBI in the 3rd and a single in the 5th.
He let a couple hard line drives get through him at defense, but they were hit pretty hard by the opposing team.
It was good to see Brock and Kameron tonight. This was their only their 2nd game as their previous 4 got rained out. I heard that Coach Kevin is the night manager at Costco, so he couldn’t make it out to the game.
Our starting pitcher Eric pitched an awesome game, Matt hit a hard double at the top of the 3rd and rookie catcher Noah tagged the runner to close out the side in the bottom of the 5th. Noah got the game ball.
Our next game is this Thursday, 6:00 pm at Edmonds-Woodway HS against Pacific Trust. Their manager was the guy who called the league official in the middle of our playoff game a few years ago. Oh joy… See you there!
